Introduction and Overview

Welcome to the official website of the Federation of Haitian Protestant Churches Overseas (FEHAPCO). We are witnessing a significant and encouraging trend, both within Haiti and among the global diaspora: a growing number of Haitians are embracing the Protestant faith. In Haitian cities, it's typical to find a Protestant church in every neighborhood—a testament to this expanding faith. Similarly, in countries across the world where our diaspora has settled, these churches have become pivotal gathering places for community and fellowship.

Current Challenges and Missions

Despite Protestantism being a major religion among Haitians, accounting for over 50% of the population, the full potential of this vast community remains unrealized. The moral and spiritual influence of Protestant churches on society is limited. Socially, significant contributions are scarce, and projects often benefit only a minority.

In response to this reality and refusing to succumb to resignation, leaders driven by a spirit of service and solidarity founded FEHAPCO. This organization aims to unite the Haitian evangelical community into a cohesive and united bloc capable of addressing its internal issues and actively contributing to the resolution of ongoing crises in Haiti. Ecclesiastes asserts, "A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Our first mission as a Christian institution is to address the lack of institutional discipline in ecclesiastical matters and to foster mutual support among congregations. Concurrently, we commit to promoting moral and spiritual values while implementing concrete initiatives to combat poverty and address the Haitian crisis with solutions inspired by the Holy Scriptures, thus providing tangible support to our compatriots in need.

Organizational Structure and Participation

The Federation is organized into three sections to facilitate the achievement of these goals. The first section, the Executive Council, leads the organization. The second, the Administrative Committee, aims to unite Haitian churches and create projects to strengthen them. This committee is responsible for managing membership in the Federation. The third section, the FEHAPCO Foundation, manages the Federation's social and charitable initiatives.
